Luinne Bheinn
Luinne Bheinn (939m) — "hill of melody" — is the central of the three Knoydart Munros, sitting between Ladhar Bheinn and Meall Buidhe on the south side of Loch Hourn. The hill is most often paired with Meall Buidhe on a long Knoydart day from Inverie. The summit gives spectacular views across Loch Hourn to Sgùrr a' Mhaoraich and out to Skye on clear days.

See Meall Buidhe for the standard pair route from Inverie via the Mam Meadail pass. From Meall Buidhe, traverse west along the broad connecting ridge over the Mam Lì pass to Luinne Bheinn. The summit cairn sits on a small rocky outcrop with airy views in all directions. Return via the Mam Meadail to Inverie. The pair total roughly 26km return with 1300m of climb.
Terrain
The Mam Meadail pass approach from Inverie is firm path but the climb onto the bealach is steep and sustained. Above the bealach the ground is rough heathery hillside without a clear path. Luinne Bheinn's summit has two close tops, the western being slightly higher and the official Munro. The link across to Meall Buidhe runs broad ground with peat hags in the bealach.
In winter
A serious remote Knoydart winter day. The Mallaig–Inverie ferry depends on weather and timetable in winter. Once committed on the hill there is no rescue infrastructure to draw on. The summit ridges gather wind-loaded snow during westerly storms. Knoydart has no mobile reception anywhere; SAIS Northern Highlands is the closest formal forecast area.
