Our take
Glencoe is downhill pure and simple. It's not a trail centre in the Glentress sense — there's no XC network, no family loops, no blue flow trail. It's a lift-assisted bike park on a Highland hillside with a handful of serious descents and a view down the A82 that is worth the trip even if you don't ride. Full-face helmet and pads country.
Insider tips
Uplift has limited capacity — book ahead for weekends. Weather-dependent: this is Rannoch Moor and it can be fine in Fort William and pouring at Glencoe.
Accommodation
Kingshouse Hotel is on site. Glencoe village and Fort William (30 min) for more options.
Food
Cafe and bar at the resort base. Kingshouse Hotel for proper meals.
When to ride
Pair with
Two of Scotland's only true uplift-served bike parks within an hour of each other. Glencoe for backcountry-feeling DH, Nevis Range for the World Cup track.
