Creag nam Fiadh
The name means 'crag' in Gaelic. A low-level 387m summit near the Dornoch Firth in Easter Ross that proves hills do not need to be high to be rewarding. The prominence gives this Marilyn genuine character.

Standard route
Standard route
A short, accessible walk via rough paths through the emptiest landscape in mainland Britain to the 387m summit. The low altitude and gentle gradients make this achievable in 1-3 hours.
Terrain
Remote northwest Highland terrain with minimal paths. Expect peat, rock and heather in a landscape that has changed little in millennia.
In winter
Winter in the northwest is characterised by wind, rain and occasional snow. The remoteness adds an extra dimension of seriousness to winter outings.
