A short outing by Sutherland standards. Park near Talmine and follow the croft road north, then take the open hillside to the cairn perched above the cliffs. Around 2-3 hours.

Terrain

Cropped croft grazing on the lower slopes gives way to short heather and gneiss outcrops. Sea cliffs north of the summit demand caution in wind or poor visibility.

In winter

Snow rarely settles for long this close to the sea. The main risk is being blown towards the cliff edge in gales; keep a generous margin from the lip.

This hill is in the Torridon SAIS forecast area. Check SAIS forecasts in winter (December–April).
