Coraddie [Beinn Bhreac]

Known either as Coraddie or Beinn Bhreac, this 519m Cowal Marilyn sits east of Loch Striven. The two names reflect overlapping local usage; on the ground it is the broad-shouldered moor north of Ardyne Point.

Estate tracks from the Toward to Inverchaolain road provide access, with open hillside taking over for the final climb. About four hours round.

Terrain

Land Rover track, then heather hags and tussock grass. Several burns to cross which can be tricky after heavy rain.

Snow rare but driving rain off the Clyde common. A windproof jacket is more useful than crampons.
