A short, accessible walk via drovers roads and old rights of way in the Cheviot foothills to the 312m summit. The low altitude and gentle gradients make this achievable in 1-3 hours.

Terrain

Gentle Borders terrain — rolling grass hills with good drainage. The going is easy compared to Highland hills.

In winter

Borders winters are gentle by Scottish standards. Snow is infrequent and rarely deep. These hills are walkable year-round with standard gear.
