One of the oldest licensed inns in Scotland, standing alone on Rannoch Moor with the Buachaille filling the view. **There is no village.** The route record puts it plainly: no other options for 30km. That single fact governs everything about booking this night.

What is actually in Kingshouse
The Kingshouse Hotel, which was rebuilt in recent years, plus camping. That is the whole of it.
How far ahead to book
As early as your dates exist — six months and more for June to August. One building takes the entire night, and there is no second-choice bed within a day's walk in either direction.
When it is full
This is the least forgiving gap on the route. The realistic answers are camping on the moor, or restructuring the itinerary around Bridge of Orchy so that the moor is crossed in one push to Kinlochleven — a long, exposed day that should be a decision rather than an accident.
Getting there, and getting out
On the A82 with a bus stop, and Glencoe village is a short drive west. Not a place you can quietly slip away from on foot.
Camping
Well outside the permit zones and the moor is open ground, so access-code wild camping is legal here. It is also exposed in every direction with very little shelter — the weather is the constraint, not the law.
Food and resupply
None beyond the hotel. You should have carried today's food from Tyndrum; tomorrow is short and ends at a village with shops.
