Standard route
grass slopes 65% · heather patches 25% · rocky outcrops 10%
From the Glendevon layby a steep grass haul gains the south flank, then a quad-bike track threads through heather to the trig. Views open across Loch Leven, the Lomonds and west to Ben Cleuch.
Terrain
Cropped grass and bracken on the lower slope, drier heather and quad ruts above. The summit fence line guides the descent in cloud.
In winter
Eastern Ochils rarely hold deep snow. Hard frost can glaze the steep grass off the road; spikes useful for the initial pull, otherwise winter-walkable in boots.
