A farm track from Lyne Station climbs westwards onto the broad summit ridge — a fence-line guides the final approach. Around 8km return, 3 hours.

Quiet farm tracks low down, then sheep-cropped grass with patches of gorse and broom (true to the name) on the lower slopes.

Sheltered Tweeddale hill that stays accessible through most of the cold months. Frost firms up the boggy approach near Lyne Water.
