Share your photo or route

Been up a Scottish hill? Share your photo or your GPX route file. Every contributor is credited by name. Your submission helps other walkers see what the hill looks like and plan their own day.

Export from your GPS watch, phone app (Strava, Komoot, OS Maps) or Garmin device. We'll credit you as the route contributor.

This appears as the photo credit on the hill page

We'll let you know when your photo goes live

What happens next

  1. We review your photo within a few days
  2. If it's a good fit, we add it as the hero image on the hill's page
  3. Your name appears as the photo credit on every page view
  4. We'll email you when it goes live (if you provide your email)

Photo guidelines

  • Landscape orientation works best (the hero image is wide)
  • Show the hill itself — summit, ridge, or approach view
  • Good light helps but Scottish weather is Scottish weather
  • At least 1200px wide for sharp display
  • You must own the photo or have permission to share it
  • By submitting, you grant OutdoorSCOT permission to display the photo with credit
