Our take
Glenmore Lodge Bothy exists to introduce people to bothy life. Fifteen minutes from the car park, clean, easy, safe. Bring kids, bring the dog, bring people who say they don't like camping. Then try Ryvoan next time.

From Glenmore Lodge car park, follow the track east. Flat, easy, short. Allow 15 minutes.

What to expect inside
Small, clean MBA bothy with space for 4. No fireplace. The ultra-short walk-in makes this the most accessible bothy in Scotland.
Nearby hills & attractions
Cairngorm ski area and funicular. Loch Morlich beach. Ryvoan Bothy is further along the same path. Glenmore Forest Park.
When to visit
Accessible year-round. Snow on the ground in winter but the approach is trivially short. The Cairngorms provide a dramatic backdrop.
